Overview
This project involved the installation of a new Tuscan-style roof using made in Italy barrel clay tiles in a mixed colourway, selected to ensure full aesthetic harmony with the home’s Mediterranean/Tuscan architecture.
A new micro-ventilated roofing system was incorporated, combining a breathable waterproof protection layer with continuous passive ventilation. This solution supports consistent airflow beneath the tiles, helping manage summer heat and control moisture build-up, improving comfort and roof durability.
All flashing details were custom-fabricated from premium Italian 0.80 mm copper to provide robust performance and long service life in exposed coastal conditions.
The rainwater system was completed with high-quality, made in Italy rounded copper gutters and copper downpipes, delivering excellent rigidity, flow capacity, and long-term corrosion resistance. The fixing method, heavy-duty copper brackets mechanically anchored into the wall structure, creates a rigid installation with exceptional load resistance. All copper joints are brazed to ensure a premium finish consistent with the overall quality level of the residence.
