TERRACOTTA

Our terracotta roofing tiles consist of a porous-paste ceramic whose main element is clay. Clay is mixed with sand, iron oxide, calcium carbonate and water, and then cooked in ovens at 1000°C to create roofing tiles with perfect water tightness, excellent mechanical resistance, and resistance to both frost and thermal shock.

Clay tiles have different names depending on their shape:
– Coppi
– Portuguese
– Marseilles
– Plain tiles
– Embrice romano

Terracotta is an outstanding material for a sustainable roof because it is a natural, durable and recyclable material. Its benefits include:

Natural: Obtained from clay, terracotta does not contain chemicals and does not release harmful substances.
Durable: The average lifespan of good quality clay tiles is 80 years, and they are resistant to frost and chemical agents.

Recyclable: Terracotta can be fully recycled.

In accordance with our sustainability policy, our tiles come with Environmental Product Certification, Integrated Environmental Authorization, and Minimum Environmental Criteria certification.
